Pain Pleasure Principle

We generally do things for one of two reasons. Either to avoid pain or to gain pleasure. If you're not working out right now it's because the idea of working out is more painful to you than the idea of doing nothing. You've linked up neuro-associations in your brain that associate working out with inconvenience, fear of failure, abstraction, unrewarding etc. That's a problem. As long as you accept the mediocrity of not pursuing the active lifestyle you will never be back in the gym and never getting the results you deserve.
